Dressing Riders & Their Horses Since 1982

Our story

In 1982, Jayne Hickey founded Greenway Saddlery to share her love of riding with the world. She believed in outfitting riders of all ages and experience levels for comfort, safety, and performance so they can enjoy a lifetime of riding—this was her dream.

Today, though Jayne has passed on, Greenway is committed to this dream. We believe in outfitting riders whether it is their first ride, their next show, their last ride, and everything in between.

We focus on providing the ‘winning look’ and solving problems to make the sport more enjoyable. We believe in the core tenets of horsemanship, rider advocacy, and affordability to ensure riders can focus on the most important part of the ride, their partnership with their horse.

The Greenway team has decades of experience in the industry to ensure you are outfitted correctly.

We also believe in the importance of local business and having a deep connection to the local riding community. Every year, we donate to sponsor local horse shows, equine therapy programs, and riding organizations that provide wonderful opportunities right here in Arizona.

Next time you are in town, come on in and bring your horse stories.

Meet the Founder

Jayne Hickey

Jayne founded Greenway Saddlery in 1982 out of a love for English riding.  Her passion for the sport, the horses, and the riders helped shape the English riding community here in Arizona.

Jayne was an accomplished equestrian earning many accolades in eventing, dressage, hunters, jumpers, and equitation.

Janye lived her entire life loving horses, which sadly ended in 2022.

Her spirit lives on through Greenway Saddlery and the profound impact she left on the riding community.

Gina Mure, Outfitter

Gina joined Greenway in 2022 and feels honored to keep Jayne’s spirit alive by helping out at Greenway.  She believes horsemanship is a never-ending classroom and feels it’s a gift to teach what she has learned so far.

Cindy joined the Greenway family in the 1980’s and worked with Jayne to form the foundation that Greenway Saddlery sits on today.

Cindy has trained and showed Hunters & Jumpers, Dressage,  and has managed USEF Rated Horse Shows.

She is currently enjoying retirement with her significant other, David.  Greenway is forever grateful for her many years of service.

Maverick

Maverick, Greeter

Maverick joined the Greenway family in 2022.  He quickly adopted the role of greeter.  He is super friendly and toy-obsessed.  He loves French fries and giving hugs.

Guiness

Guinness, Disgruntled Employee

Guinness begrudgingly joined the Greenway family in 2022.  His dad forced him to come to work, and he does not like it one bit.  He spends most of his day hiding behind the counter.  While he doesn’t accomplish much at work, he does fill the important role of disgruntled employee.
